Attitude of Employees in Kindergarten and Primary School towards Peer Violence

Abstract

Peer violence represents all repetitive, deliberate aggressive actions over a longer period of time. It is characterized by the superiority of the bully who exploits it to cause victims pain, fear, and discomfort. Employees in educational institutions represent a group of persons who have an important role in preventing peer violence. The purpose of the research is to determine the attitude of employees in educational institutions towards peer violence. The sample included 151 employees in educational institutions. We obtained the data in December 2019 employing an online questionnaire titled “Peer Violence in Educational Institutions”. The data were statistically processed in the SPSS program. We ascertained that the employees who were well acquainted with peer violence were more likely to choose to work in-depth concerning peer violence in the form of additional education and training, and in the form of teamwork with co-workers.
