Zdravstvena pismenost med slovenskimi srednješolci

Zdravstvena pismenost postaja sestavni del funkcionalne pismenosti in merilo razvitosti človeškega kapitala v določeni državi. Zdravstveno opismenjevanje dijakov je še posebej pomembno, saj so izpostavljeni velikemu zdravstvenemu tveganju. Ker so bile obstoječe raziskave zdravstvene pismenosti izvedene predvsem v ZDA in zahodni Evropi, obstaja raziskovalna vrzel na področju celovitega proučevanja zdravstvene pismenosti v srednjeevropskih in vzhodnoevropskih državah z drugačnim izobraževalnim in zdravstvenim sistemom. Zato je bil cilj raziskave s kvantitativno deskriptivno metodo ugotoviti raven zdravstvene pismenosti slovenskih srednješolcev. Anketni vprašalnik, s katerim smo merili raven osnovne, numerične, kritične in duševne zdravstvene pismenosti, je v celoti izpolnilo 249 srednješolcev iz Slovenije, razdeljenih v dve skupini, in sicer na skupino srednješolcev, ki obiskujejo program zdravstvene nege, in ostale. Rezultati so pokazali, da imajo dijaki zdravstvene nege statistično značilno višjo raven osnovne in duševne zdravstvene pismenosti kot vrstniki, ne pa tudi višje numerične in kritične zdravstvene pismenosti. Oba vidika zdravstvene pismenosti bi bilo treba načrtno dodatno razvijati, obenem pa uvesti vsaj osnovne vidike zdravstvene pismenosti v vse srednješolske predmetnike.
