Different Ways of Planning Activities in Kindergarten
Keywords:

Kindergarten teachers and kindergarten assistants are given a lot of freedom in their work, which also applies to the planning of activities. In connection with this, we conducted a survey, the purpose of which was to learn about the methods of planning activities in kindergarten, to determine the most common forms of lesson plans, and to check the frequency of use of the prescribed forms in planning activities. The sample included 403 educators and assistant educators from randomly selected public kindergartens. We found that more than half of them, despite the possibility of using various online and computer programs for writing lesson plans, still write them in physical form, and that more than half use the prescribed forms. There are also differences in the types of lesson plans, with weekly lesson plans predominating by a hair’s breadth over daily and monthly ones. All these results confirm that the way of planning activities is largely left to kindergartens and their employees, and they are truly given the freedom to plan this area of their work.
