Abstract

Modern technology, including mobile phones, has become an indispensable part of everyday life. Young people, who are especially apt to use mobile phones, need to be aware of appropriate and critical use of phones. One positive aspect of phone usage is its implementation in the educational process. Researchers state that the use of the mobile phone as a learning tool has many benefits. Nevertheless, researchers also point out the possible disadvantages of mobile phone use in the educational process. Some results of our wide research are reported in the empirical part. The whole study of primary school students’ mobile phone use included teachers’ and students’ views on the benefits and drawbacks of using mobile phones as learning tools. The research shows discrepancies between teachers and students, based on gender and grade, in their opinions about the potential benefits and disadvantages of mobile phone use in the educational process
