Aims and Scope

Pedagoška obzorja – Didactica Slovenica is a scientific journal dedicated to publishing original research papers, review articles, and professional contributions in the field of education. The journal aims to contribute to the development and dissemination of scientific knowledge in the areas of didactics, teaching methodology, educational psychology, learning approaches, and educational policy.

The journal’s goal is to promote interdisciplinary dialogue among researchers, teachers, educators, policymakers, and other professionals working in the field of education. It seeks to foster the exchange of ideas between theory and practice and to encourage the application of scientific findings in pedagogical practice and the development of educational systems.

The journal welcomes contributions that:
- enhance the understanding of learning and teaching processes,
- develop new didactic and methodological approaches,
- address the challenges of contemporary education and upbringing,
- encourage reflection on the role of the teacher, learner, and learning environment,
- provide comparative analyses of national and international educational practices.

The journal is published three times a year (the last issue is a double issue) and accepts papers in both Slovenian and English. All published articles are peer-reviewed and made available in accordance with the principles of gold open access.

Publication Fee (APC). To cover the costs of editorial and technical processing, language editing, formatting, and online publication, the journal charges an Article Processing Charge (APC) of 300 EUR. The fee is payable after the article has been accepted for publication and is a prerequisite for its publication. Payment ensures that the article will be published according to the principles of gold open access, providing unrestricted access, reading, sharing, and citation. Payment details and instructions are sent to the author upon acceptance of the article.

The journal has been published continuously since 1986.
